How do I create my own flan club?

Saturday, August 8th, 2009

I’m looking for others who enjoy this rich custard dessert, but I do not know how to go about connecting with them.

As a youth, I was in a soup tasting club with my sister and one of my older brothers. My brother did all of the planning and bought the soups to taste, so I never learned how to coordinate this.

Any suggestions?

Is Coldstone ice cream fresh?

Sunday, May 17th, 2009

I know Culver’s makes their frozen custard fresh about every hour, so I’m wondering, since Coldstone is a “creamery” and their ice cream is “premium”, how often do they make it? Furthermore, what’s their justification for having such high prices?

Caramel flan gone wrong?

Friday, May 15th, 2009

I just made a vanilla flan custard, and the caramel looks exactly the same color as the custard..I think I might have taken the caramel out too quickly. Is there anything I can do to make it have a darkish color like all normal flans? It’s cooling right now.

Thanks.
if not, will it make my fllan taste bad? =[
